Manufacturer Provided Description
The Tayana Vancouver 42 combines robust construction and traditional double-ended styling with a contemporary underwater profile. The modified fin keel and skeg-hung rudder provide an easily-driven and seakindly hull. With almost 200 hulls built to date, the Tayana 42 has established itself as a serious and proper offshore yacht. A long waterline and generous beam provide ample storage, making the Tayana 42 an excellent choice for long-term cruising. The Trunk Cabin version of the 42 is designed to satisfy those who prefer the more traditional look. The low cabin enhances the yacht's graceful aura of power and speed. The center cockpit interior has been done in various layouts since 1978 and provides aft cabin privacy and excellent storage for the serious offshore cruiser. All Tayana yachts are built to order on a semi-custom basis. Tayana specializes in the ability to modify interiors to meet the needs of the liveaboard sailor.
